This Privacy Policy explains how GrowTown ("GrowTown", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the GrowTown mobile application and related services.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information when you use GrowTown:

  • Account information: name, phone number, email address, password credentials, profile photo, and account verification information.
  • Delivery and order information: delivery addresses, contact person name and phone number, order details, cart details, preferred stores, item selections, refund requests, ratings, reviews, and support messages.
  • Location information: approximate and precise location when you allow location access, used for address selection, service availability, nearby stores, delivery estimates, maps, and order tracking.
  • Payment and wallet information: order payment method, payment status, wallet balance, loyalty points, transaction references, and offline payment details. We do not store full card numbers unless handled by an authorized payment provider.
  • Photos, files, and media selected by you: profile images, prescription images, refund images, chat attachments, store registration documents, delivery partner documents, or other files that you choose to upload.
  • Microphone input: audio input may be processed when you use voice search. Microphone access is used only after permission is granted.
  • Device and app information: device identifiers, Firebase Cloud Messaging token, app version, operating system, language, network status, crash logs, diagnostics, and performance data.
  • Social sign-in information: if you sign in with Google, Facebook, or Apple, we may receive your name, email address, profile information, and authentication token as permitted by that provider.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Create, verify, and manage your account.
  • Provide grocery, food, pharmacy, parcel, taxi, delivery, order, and support services available in the app.
  • Check service availability for your location and show nearby stores, products, delivery options, routes, and estimated charges.
  • Process orders, payments, refunds, wallet activity, loyalty points, and customer support requests.
  • Send order updates, promotional messages, service alerts, and push notifications where allowed.
  • Improve app performance, troubleshoot errors, prevent fraud, protect users, and maintain security.
  • Comply with legal, tax, accounting, safety, and regulatory obligations.

3. Permissions Used by the App

  • Location: used for delivery address selection, map features, nearby service discovery, delivery tracking, and route-related features.
  • Camera and photos/files: used only when you choose to upload images or documents, such as profile photos, prescription images, refund images, chat attachments, or registration documents.
  • Microphone: used for voice search features after you grant permission.
  • Notifications: used to send order updates, account alerts, offers, and other service notifications.
  • Internet and network access: used to connect the app to GrowTown services, maps, payment services, Firebase, and other service providers.

4. Sharing of Information

We may share information with:

  • Stores, vendors, delivery partners, service providers, and support teams when needed to process orders, deliveries, refunds, support, registration, or service requests.
  • Payment service providers to process payments, refunds, wallet transactions, or payment verification.
  • Technology providers such as hosting, analytics, crash reporting, cloud messaging, map, authentication, and communication providers.
  • Social login providers when you choose to use Google, Facebook, or Apple sign-in.
  • Legal authorities or regulators when required by law, legal process, fraud prevention, safety, or protection of rights.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Third-Party Services

GrowTown may use third-party services including Firebase, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Crashlytics, Google Maps, Google Sign-In, Facebook Login, Apple Sign-In, payment providers, and communication providers. These services may collect and process information according to their own privacy policies.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect user information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our terms. Some order, payment, tax, support, and security records may be retained after account deletion where required or permitted by law.

8. Account Deletion and User Choices

You can request deletion of your account from within the GrowTown app by going to Profile and selecting Delete Account. You may also contact us using the contact methods below to request account deletion or data-related help. When your account is deleted, we delete or anonymize personal information associated with your account, except information that must be retained for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, or regulatory reasons.

You can control app permissions such as location, notifications, microphone, camera, and photos/files from your device settings. Some app features may not work properly if required permissions are disabled.

9. Children's Privacy

GrowTown is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
